We absolutely love this nugget ice maker! The ice is exactly as described. This ice maker is the perfect countertop ice maker for our camper. I highly recommend this machine as I have already recommended it to friends.
This was my best purchase of 2024 and the favorite thing I own. It’s probably paid for itself 3 times already. Use distilled water, run the clean cycle every once in a while, and I personally don’t leave it on over night.I’ve moved it to my office at work. Tempted to get one for home because the ice machine at the townhouse we are renting makes ice with a funky flavor. If I can’t get rid of the taste, I’ll get another.This machine creates about 64 ounces worth of ice in 15 minutes. Not too loud. Worth every penny.
Great little ice maker. Definitely worth the price. Removing a star because it could be better at draining water. Should have replacement plug.
Only removing one star because it’s soooo frikkin’ LOUD. Like grating, annoying loud. I have to turn it off anytime we’re hanging in the kitchen, which is frequently. Otherwise…it makes fantastic ice, and quickly, and is very easy to use and to clean. My advice would be to put it somewhere out of the way, where the noise won’t be an issue.
I love small chewable ice, so I use this all the time. Here’s my routine: I put ice cubes in the water bin below the basket. Then I fill it with cold water out of the refrigerator. This makes it much easier and quicker for the machine to make ice. As it makes the ice, I put it in a large Ziplock freezer bag. So I make a big bag full to keep in my freezer handy anytime I need it.
